2010 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards
On 15 November 2010, I had the pleasure of celebrating the achievements of our local tourism operators at the 2010 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards.
These Awards really encapsulate the passion, enthusiasm and professionalism that our tourism operators have for this important industry in Victoria.
Held at the Crown Palladium, the gala ceremony was hosted by Australian television celebrity Julia Zemiro, who ensured the night was both an entertaining and successful one.
Among those honoured were Melbourne Museum, winners of the Major Tourist Attraction category, the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, winners of the Major Festivals and Events category, and Wayne Kayler-Thomson who received the award for Outstanding Contribution by an Individual.
This year we also saw six tourism organisations inducted into the Hall of Fame for winning their respective category three years in a row. Congratulations to the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Old Melbourne Gaol, Bunyip Tours, Destination Gippsland, Ovens Valley Motor Inn and Holmesglen Tourism for this outstanding achievement.

These winners will go on to represent our State at the 2010 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Perth in March next year. Good luck!
