Visit to Stawell Gold Mine

On a recent trip to Stawell I was joined by the Member for Ripon, Joe Helper MP, on a visit to the Stawell Gold Mine.

Owned by the Northgate Minerals Corporation, it is Victoria’s longest continually operating gold mine and employs over 300 people. It was a great opportunity to see a working gold mine in action.

I also visited Frewstal Abattoirs, Carey Covers and AME Systems while in the region.
